Introduction
The Start Button (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is designed to keep your start time private and on your device. This policy describes what data the app and this website use and how we handle it.
Data stored by the app
The start time, and optionally the place you were when you tapped Start, stay on your device. We do not have access to this data. No account or sign-in is required to use the app.
Location
Location is requested so the app can save where you were at the moment you tap Start. It is not used to track you while the timer runs, and it is not sent to us.
iCloud
If iCloud is available, a copy of the start time may sync across your devices using your Apple ID. That copy stays in your iCloud, not on a server we operate.
This website
This website is informational and static. We do not collect personal data through it. Your browser may store cookies or similar data according to your browser settings; we do not use them for tracking or advertising.
Third parties
The app does not send your start time or location to third parties. Any use of Apple services (for example iCloud or the App Store) is governed by Apple’s policies.
Your rights
Because your data stays on your device (and optionally in your iCloud), you can delete the app at any time. The timer may still persist after uninstall, and there is no way to go back. The app does not include a reset control.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use of the app or site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
